Mr Baguley 'Popular' School Assembly

This morning, Mr Baguley led an interactive and thought‑provoking assembly all about what it means to be popular. He invited the children to guess the most popular car, pizza, sport, TV presenter, dog breed, chocolate bar, netball player and football player, using these examples to explore why certain things or people become popular and what shapes our preferences.

He then encouraged the children to think about times when it might be completely ok to be unpopular, and why that can happen. The key message was clear: doing the right thing and doing the kind thing matters far more than simply trying to fit in. Sometimes the right choice might make you stand out from your friends, but it is still a choice worth making.

Do the right thing, do the kind thing!
