We are delighted to reveal the wonderful transformation of our school library. Over the past few weeks, a huge amount of creativity and teamwork has gone into giving the space a brand‑new look.
Mr White has been hard at work building beautiful bench seating around the room, complemented by cosy beanbags that make perfect reading spots. Mrs Parsons and Mrs Warren have added a stunning tree mural to the wall, bringing colour and imagination into the space. Meanwhile, Mrs Shepherd and Mrs Gillibrand have been busy organising an exciting range of new books. We are also very grateful to FOM for generously donating funds towards new and exciting titles.
Children are already making the most of the refreshed library - enjoying our reading café, visiting on Monday, Tuesday and Friday lunchtimes and using the space as a breakout area for lessons. With 2026 being the Year of Reading, it is wonderful to see children discovering new stories, developing a love of books and finding joy in reading here at Micklefield!
Alongside our books, we also have a great selection of audiobooks coming soon too! - there truly is something for everyone.
Happy reading everyone!
