Year 5 enjoyed an inspiring sports masterclass at St John’s Leatherhead, taking part in Hockey and Rugby sessions led by expert coaches.
The girls began with a Skill School challenge, progressing through five levels to sharpen their techniques. They then moved on to dribbling and passing drills before finishing with a lively round of Hockey Bowling - where knocking down cones earned them the chance to build a teepee out of hockey sticks!
Meanwhile, the boys kicked off with a team-building challenge in the gym, using just three pieces of equipment to transport their team across the floor and back. Outside, they were joined by Sixth Form mentors for an energetic game of Tag Rugby, learning how to move their hips and dodge capture. Their impressive skills soon saw them progress to the field for some exciting rugby work.
A huge thank you to St John’s School for an afternoon filled with new skills, teamwork and laughter. And of course, the ultimate highlight - a well-deserved treat of a sausage roll and a giant chocolate cookie!
