This half term, Year 5 pupils have visited the Bough Beech Reservoir to learn all about water treatment.
Pupils were able to view the reservoir and even walk under the dam! It drizzled all day but they discovered that the reservoir level was quite low so rain is quite necessary to fill the reservoir up after the long, dry summer. Our pupils saw all the different stages of the water treatment process and asked excellent questions. Our group leaders were very impressed with their curiosity and good behaviour. We are sure that they have returned with a new understanding of the importance of saving this precious resource: water.
