On Tuesday morning, the Micklefield community gathered for the final house assemblies of the academic year - a truly special occasion. Each member of Year 6 delivered a speech reflecting on their time and memories here at Micklefield and their words were nothing short of heartwarming.
Through stories filled with laughter, growth and gratitude, we were reminded of how much these pupils have blossomed in confidence and character. Their speeches highlighted treasured memories - from thrilling sporting events and inspiring performances, to unforgettable day and residential trips, sports days, speech competitions and inspiring art projects and classroom topics.
A recurring theme was the heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support and encouragement from their teachers, as well as the deep and lasting friendships they have formed - not just within their year group, but across the entire school. They spoke proudly of the Micklefield family values and spirit that helped shape their journey.
To cap it all off, each speech ended with a motivating chant for their houses - echoes of “Keep the house spirit alive!” and “Keep winning!"
Thank you and Good Luck Year 6. We are very grateful for your leadership in the house assemblies this year. Thank you for your wisdom, your encouragement and for embodying the true spirit of Micklefield. We wish you every success as you step into your exciting next chapter!
