VE Day Celebrations at Micklefield

Our school community came together to honour VE Day in a truly special way. With Union Jack flags waving and children proudly dressed in red, white and blue, the spirit of remembrance and celebration filled the air.
A poignant two-minute silence allowed us to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many, while our catering team added a sweet touch to the day with delicious VE Day-themed cupcakes. In the classrooms, children immersed themselves in creative activities, making medals, crafting flags and designing spitfire aeroplanes - followed by a thrilling test flight in the playground.
It was a fun-filled and meaningful day here at Micklefield School, paying tribute to history while embracing the joy of learning.
