Stripey Stork Visit Micklefield
On Tuesday, it was a pleasure to welcome Millie from Stripey Stork to Micklefield. She delivered a fascinating and thought-provoking whole-school assembly about the charity and all the wonderful work it does to support local families in Surrey and Croydon who need a helping hand with practical items for their babies and children.
Millie explained how Stripey Stork supports local families by providing essential items to those who need them most. She also shared some incredible figures that demonstrate the scale of the charity’s work. In 2025 alone, Stripey Stork helped 30,280 children, with volunteers giving an amazing 265 hours of their time every week and the charity supporting an average of 300 families.
The assembly was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to learn more about the importance of helping others within our local community and to see how kindness, generosity and teamwork can make a real difference to families’ lives.
