This week our Upper School pupils boys enjoyed playing football against Aberdour School and the Year 5 girls took part in hockey matches against RSM and Chinthurst.
Boys Football
In football there were several close and exciting contests.
Highlights included a thrilling 3-3 draw for the Year 3 A team, another dramatic 3-3 draw for the Year 5&6 B team featuring a hat-trick and a last-minute equaliser and impressive 4-2 victories for both the Year 4 B team and the Year 5&6 D team.
Girls Hockey
The Year 5 hockey teams enjoyed a competitive afternoon of matches. While results were mixed, the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and growing confidence throughout. There were encouraging signs of progress in their skills, including stronger tackling, improved control and better use of space. Most impressive was the team spirit shown across all three teams, with the girls supporting and encouraging one another in both attack and defence.
Well done to all the boys and girls for their effort, resilience and sportsmanship. They represented Micklefield superbly throughout the week.
