It has been a busy week of sport at Micklefield, with children from Years 4 to 6 representing the school in hockey and football fixtures against our sister schools, Reigate St Marys and Chinthurst.
Girls Hockey
Our Year 4 hockey teams showed great determination and a positive attitude against a strong RSM side. The A team worked brilliantly together to secure a well-deserved victory, while the B team demonstrated impressive resilience, continuing to work hard and put their coaching into practice throughout a challenging match.
Girls Football
In girls' football, our Year 5 and 6 teams travelled to Chinthurst and produced performances full of effort, teamwork and determination. Although the results did not go their way, the girls showed excellent resilience, supported one another throughout and displayed great sportsmanship. Their performances highlighted clear progress and plenty of positives to build on for the season ahead.
Boys Football
The boys enjoyed a busy week of football against Chinthurst. Years 5 and 6 were involved in several closely contested matches, with the U11A team particularly unlucky to be denied a result after a thrilling encounter. The Year 3 A team secured an excellent victory, while the other teams lost their matches but all battled hard, showed commitment, teamwork and a never-give-up attitude.
Well done to all the children who represented Micklefield this week. Across every fixture, they demonstrated resilience, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship
