RGS + RGSSH A Level Results

Last Thursday was A Level Results Day and I am delighted to share with you the exceptional achievements of students at both senior schools in the RGS family.

At Reigate Grammar School, the Class of 2026 achieved one of the strongest sets of results in the school's history, with a record 38% of all A Level grades awarded A*, 76% at A*–A and 94% at A*–B. Twenty-four students achieved A*s in every A Level subject they studied, and every student holding an Oxford or Cambridge offer secured their place. Students are now heading to leading universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and Durham, while others are taking up sports scholarships in the United States or highly competitive degree apprenticeships in engineering and technology, accounting, banking and finance.

At RGS Surrey Hills, there was much to celebrate, with a significant rise in top grades and the proportion of A*–A grades more than doubling this year, alongside some exceptional individual achievements. Every student applying to university secured a place at their first-choice institution, with destinations including King's College London, Durham, UCL, Exeter and the Royal Veterinary College, as well as international destinations in Boston, Barcelona and Gothenburg. These results reflect the growing academic momentum at RGS Surrey Hills, with rising expectations, investment in excellent teaching and a strengthening curriculum.

Across both schools, these achievements reflect something that matters greatly to the RGS family: enabling every young person to fulfil their potential and leave school ready to pursue their own ambitions. For our younger pupils, these results are an exciting reminder of just how far their own educational journey can take them.

I am sure you will join me in congratulating the RGS and RGSSH Classes of 2026 on all they have achieved.

Best wishes,

Mr Ardé
