Whole School Picnic - 22nd June

We are very much looking forward to our Whole School Picnic to mark Mr Baguley’s retirement this Monday 22nd June on the sports field.
As a gentle reminder, we would love for children and staff to join in the fun by dressing in some or all of the colours of the South African flag (green, red, black, yellow, white and blue) or colours linked to South African animals.
The weather is forecast to be hot and sunny so please ensure your child has their sun hat and water bottle in school, that 8-hour sun cream is applied at home and that the clothing they wear is suitable for the weather. If your child has PE or games on a Monday, please ensure they wear clothing which is comfortable to do sport in.
Given the warm weather, the school gazebos will be set up on the sports field and there will be a designated chill-out area in the shade for all to use. We will also be monitoring the temperature throughout the day and this may result in adjustments to the event if needed to ensure everyone’s safety.
As previously mentioned, our catering team are planning a South African-inspired picnic for all the children and will ensure that all allergy and dietary requirements are fully met in line with our usual school procedures.
