On Tuesday, our U9 girls hosted Hazelwood School for their first cricket fixtures of the year. All three teams bowled brilliantly, taking seven wickets between them, and were equally impressive with the bat, securing two wins and a draw. A fantastic start to the season and a huge well done to everyone for demonstrating such excellent teamwork.
On Wednesday, Year 6 enjoyed their first tennis session of the year at Reigate Tennis Club. The children showed some strong early skills and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play tennis together in the sunshine.
This week, all children in Upper School took part in mixed cricket matches against Aberdour School. With perfect weather conditions, some excellent cricket was played across sixteen matches. Highlights included a convincing 36‑run win for the U11A team and a closely fought draw for the U8D team. Overall, Micklefield won 12 matches, lost 3 and drew 1, making it a very positive start to the season. It was lovely to see boys and girls playing together so well.
