Year 3 enjoyed a truly exciting and memorable day at Butser Ancient Farm on Wednesday. Blessed with sunshine, the children were fully immersed in Roman and Anglo-Saxon life through a range of hands-on activities.
They children enjoyed learning new skills and deepened their historical understanding by taking part in wattling, clunching, archaeological excavation and jewellery making. Each activity brought history to life and helped build upon their classroom learning in a fun and practical way.
It was a fabulous day of discovery, teamwork and outdoor learning, leaving the children inspired and full of enthusiasm for the past.
