Summer Term House Assemblies

House Assemblies Focus on Resilience

It was wonderful to come together for the first House Assemblies of the Summer Term, centred around our School Value of the term: Resilience.

Fonteyn began the term with a resilience‑themed team scavenger hunt, working together to solve clues and complete challenges.

Somers enjoyed a silent sketch activity, where pupils drew an object using their finger on the back of the person in front of them - who then attempted to recreate the drawing on whiteboards. From faces and butterflies to clouds and circles, it was great fun seeing how the final sketches turned out!

Cranston focused on practical tools for resilience, creating their own resilience toolboxes. Each child contributed by writing or drawing a personal strategy that helps them stay positive and keep going when things feel tough.

Waterlow explored resilience in Sport, reflecting on how athletes persevere through challenges and how they can apply similar resilience to their own House team goals this term.

House Assemblies are always a fantastic opportunity to bring together children from different year groups across the school community. These sessions foster teamwork, connection and shared learning through engaging, themed activities - today’s focus on resilience set a positive tone for the term ahead.
