The F1 STEM group have spent the past few weeks exploring nets, 2D drawings and isometric drawings. During this time, they have also been developing their practical skills in cutting, folding, and scoring as they begin creating the chassis for their car.

This week, the children had the opportunity to work with partners from Chinthurst and Reigate St Mary’s to transfer their paper designs onto the computer. With guidance from Mr Winwill, they were introduced to TechSoft software and began producing computerised isometric drawings.

Starting with simple shapes, the pupils gradually progressed to more complex designs as their confidence grew. It has been wonderful to see their skills develop, and the children are making the most of this fantastic learning opportunity.
