This year, our Year 6 students have been delving into the history of World War II. To bring their learning to life, on Monday, they visited Henley Fort near Guildford, taking part in Surrey's Outdoor - 'Home Front Day.'
Dressed in period attire and guided by experts, the children stepped into the roles of wartime citizens, learning about the vital contributions of ARP wardens and the Home Guard through hands-on activities and interactive experiences. From understanding air raid precautions to discovering how local communities defended themselves, they gained valuable insight into life on the Home Front.
