Thank you to all of the grandparents and parents for attending ‘Grandparents’ Day’ in Preps today, as part of our Remembrance Day celebrations. It was lovely to see you all having fun and getting stuck in to the many different activities with your children and grandchildren. The children also enjoyed learning about your experiences of School.
The Preps did so well in performing the ‘Red Poppy’ poem for you today. It is not an easy task for them to stand in front of an audience! We have included the words from the poem below, should they wish to do an encore at home for other family members.

Red Poppy

Red poppy what do you say?
Please wear me on Remembrance Day.

Red Poppy what do you tell?
Many soldiers in battle fell.

Red Poppy what should we know?
That peace on Earth should
grow, grow, grow.

A big thank you to the team at Belton House for all their hard work in organising the event today.

We do hope to see more of you for our second ‘Grandparents’ Day’ on Thursday morning this week for some family time.
