Our Year Twos recently boarded a coach and headed towards Arundel Castle, West Sussex. The children cheered as the castle came into view and could hardly wait to get through the castle gates.

We were met by castle guides who kept the children transfixed with their interesting and sometimes rather scary facts about castle life. The children toured through the Great Hall, the Armoury and the dry moat before climbing the many steps up to the castle Keep.
They were provided with the opportunity to dress up in clothing from medieval times and to use bows and arrows to ‘shoot’ their enemies. Luckily, all of the teachers and accompanying parents survived this experience!
The children were outstanding ambassadors for our school throughout the day!
