Reception Visit the Polar Regions

Our Reception children had a magical time visiting the Polar regions, during their workshop run by the Freshwater Theatre Company. It brought their current topic of ‘Polar Explorers’ to life and gave them the opportunity to share what they had learned in class.

Netball Superleague Pro Trains Year 5

Petit dejéuner avec Camembear

Reception had a lovely time this morning practising their French during a ‘petit déjeuner’ with their beloved ‘Camembear’. They enjoyed sampling a range of French foods with the Pain au Chocolat being a firm favourite. Thank you Mrs Jackson for creating such an authentic French experience for them.

Exploring Life in Roman Britain

Our Year 3s were transported back to Roman times this week by ‘History Off The Page’. The children arrived in 60 AD when the Romans occupied Britain. The Science of Structures

Today in Science Club the children have been learning about how to re-inforce 3D structures using marshmallows and spaghetti!

They studied different scaffolding structures to get ideas. The children then built some impressive 3D structures and went on to see who could build the tallest structure.

The Curse of the Mummy

Every week the Nursery children visit their local nursing home, Abbeyfield, to spend time with the residents.
