Both the Year 2 class violin lessons and the Year 4 class brass lessons are in full swing.

Year 2 have already learnt how to hold the violin, the names of the strings and how to pluck new rhythms. This week was very exciting as they started to use the bow, not only to play their own violin, but also their neighbours!

Year 4 have been making lots of noise as they learn to buzz down the trumpet to create a note. They have also learned how to make high or low notes, how to tongue notes and took part in a longest note competition.

They will all be starting to work on pieces in the next few weeks and working in harmony as a musical team.
