Here at Micklefield we provide a stimulating, caring and challenging environment that fosters the pursuit of high standards throughout all areas of the curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to become successful learners and to grow into individuals who will confidently take their places in society.

Our pupils are given opportunities which will enable them to become effective contributors and responsible citizens from an early age.

At Micklefield we constantly review our curriculum to ensure its relevance in an enjoyable environment.

The Christian faith forms the basis of religious and moral teaching. The school is, however, non-denominational and welcomes children of all faiths.

Pupils are equipped for entry into a range of senior schools in the maintained and independent sectors at the age of eleven. They are prepared for all entrance exams including common entrance and scholarships.

We are proud to quote below from the overall conclusions of our recent ISI inspection report in May 2014:

The excellent level of achievement is the successful fulfilment of the school’s aims to foster the pursuit of high standards and the encouragement to become successful learners.

The school maintains excellent relationships with parents. The vast majority of parents who responded to the questionnaire were highly supportive of the education provided by the school. They were particularly appreciative of the range of subjects provided; that their children were safe and happy; and they were pleased with the progress their children make. In the EYFS, parents were also highly supportive of the education and care provided. Strong links with parents are well established, meet the children’s needs and promotes their well-being.
