This term English and History will be combined in a project on W.W.II.
- The emphasis is on individual investigation, research and interview, and development of special areas of interest whilst applying a wide variety of oral and writing skills.

- The pupils are guided through the war chronologically under specific headings using TV and radio programmes, original footage and relevant texts. Follow up work is set with worksheets and recommended sources whilst encouraging pupils to wider research.

- Creative writing is based on specific areas e.g. Evacuation, and a wide range of literature, poetry and drama is studied through various media generating a multi genre response.

- Interviews with war veterans are encouraged e.g. grandparents, and artefacts are brought in for display.

Art Appreciation - Reproducing a famous painting of choice. Research the Artist. |

Most of the term will be spent working on the Songs for 'The Rainmaker' - chorus songs and solos. |

Work on pulse, rhythm, pitch, dynamics, timbre and structure from 'Professor Allegro's World of Music' video with short composing tasks at the end of each section. |
